Habib Trucking is an asset-based logistics provider that operates an expansive fleet to meet your transportation requirements. We have extensive experience hauling products in the oil, mining, drilling, forestry, industrial equipment, construction and steel industries. We currently haul a variety of goods including, but not limited to: Steel products: pipe, rebar, plate, channel, beam, tubing, coil Building material: lumber, plywood, shingles, drywall, insulation Industrial equipment & machinery Over-dimensional shipments.
Position: Long Haul Truck Driver
Terms: Full time, permanent
Salary: $27.00/hr
Education:
-High School as an asset
-Experience: 1+ yrs
– Language: Basic Oral English
Duties:
• Operate and drive trucks to locations across Canada
• Oversee all aspects of vehicles, such as condition of equipment, loading and unloading and safety and security of cargo
• Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation
• Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicles systems and equipment such as tires, lights, brakes and cold storage
• Record cargo information, distance travelled, fuel consumption and other information in log book
• Ensure the safe delivery of cargo
