Job Description

 

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods

Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies

Inspect kitchens and food service areas

Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food

Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

Clean kitchen and work areas

 

Requirements

 

-Education: Completion of secondary education is required

-Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience is required. If the candidate does not have at least 3 years of experience, a post-secondary certificate in cooking is required.

-Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, Standing for extended periods, Fast-paced environment, Attention to detail.

-Personal suitability: Client focus, Dependability, Initiative, Organized, Team player, Reliability, Flexibility, Ability to multitask.

-Language: English is required

 

Salary: 18.00 per hour, 35 – 40 hours per week.

Important information:

This position requires flexibility in schedule. The worker will work from Tuesday to Saturday, 6 – 8 hours shifts between 11:00am to 11:00pm. Overtime may be required depending on the restaurant needs.
