Job Description:
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods in accordance with standards and in a timely manner
Prepare and cook special meals for clients as instructed by chef
Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
Clean kitchen and work areas at the end of shift
Inspect kitchens and food service areas
Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
Order supplies and equipment
Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Prepare varied dishes from scratch with fresh products
Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school is required.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a cook is required. In the event that the candidate does not have 3 years of experience then a post-secondary certificate is required.
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods, Attention to detail, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity.
Personal suitability: Organized, Team player, Efficient interpersonal skills, Judgement, Excellent oral communication, Initiative, Reliability, Accurate.
Language: English is required
Salary: $18.00 hourly, 40 Hours per week.

Important Information: We are open 7 days a week. Regular schedule includes working 5 days per week. The work day begins at 7 am and ends at 3 pm. Position requires flexibility in scheduling, including evening or weekend hours based on business needs.
